Community¶
AXEM-SX is small, deliberate, and built in the open. There are several ways to take part — none of them require money, and one of them does.
Joining the conversation¶
The public channel right now is GitHub Issues — primarily for bugs, but well-formed questions and ideas are welcome there too. One queue, easy to follow, easy to search.
For a bug report, please include the AXEM-SX version, what you tried, what happened, and what you expected.
As the project grows, we may add dedicated channels for questions and ideas. We will not add them before we can sustain them — an empty forum is a worse signal than no forum at all.
For anything more personal, our email is further down this page.
English and French are both welcome.
Contributing¶
The fastest, most welcome kind of contribution is a documentation fix. Every page on this site has an "Edit this page" pencil at the top right. Click it, edit the Markdown, send a pull request.
For the full picture — what we welcome, what is out of scope, pull request etiquette — see CONTRIBUTING.md in the repository.
The short version of how we work together: be respectful, assume good faith, focus on the work.
Translations¶
The documentation is bilingual (English / French) by design. If you spot a French page that reads awkwardly, or an English page without its French sibling, an issue or PR is welcome.
We do not currently accept new language additions beyond EN/FR — we would rather keep two languages excellent than five mediocre.
Hardware reports¶
If AXEM-SX runs (or doesn't run) on hardware not currently listed in the Hardware Lab, tell us. Vendor, model, kernel version, what worked, what didn't.
Getting in touch¶
For anything that does not fit the channels above:
goldaxem@gmail.com.
Days, not hours. This is a workshop, not a help desk.
Supporting the project¶
If you would rather contribute money than time, you can. The minimum contribution is $10 USD — small enough to be casual, large enough to be meaningful.
Or scan from your phone:
Contributions go directly to the project's maintenance — server costs, build infrastructure, and occasional hardware for testing.
No tier, no perk, no newsletter. Just patient releases, quiet maintenance, and word-of-mouth marketing.
AXEM-SX is a project of Golda-Global Inc., a civic-software workshop.
